Today on 13.02.2023 the District Conference of INTUC Jalpaiguri District Branch held at Prayash Hall of Jalpaiguri Municipality. Conference was presided over by Sri Debabrata Nag, President of the said District INTUC.

The conference was inaugurated by Md Qamruzzaman Qamar, President INTUC-WB Br. who protested vehemently against the Anti Workers, Anti People, Anti Poor, Anti Employment policies of both State & Central Governments. In his speech Qamar Saheb also given his clarion call to the poor working class of the District for their all out effort to defeat the TMC led fascist Government on the upcoming Panchayat Election to strengthen the hand of Indian National Congress and asked them to protest against the fake offer of TMC in respect of providing PATTA to them.

Other dignitaries who graced this occasion with their prominent participation and valuable speechs were Shri Moni Kumar Darnal, Sushanta Santra, S. K. Banerjee all are the General Secretaries of INTUC-WB, Dilip Das, President INTUC Darjeeling District, Shri Rabin Ray, Ex President of INTUC Coochbehar District, Shri Nirmal Ghosh Dastidar, Sadhan Bose, Amlan Munshi and others.

The conference raised 13 points demands to protect the socio-economic development of the poor workers of the District like fair wages and other statutory benifits. The resolution has been taken to adopt all out programme against the Government to ensure the benifits.

Sri Debabrata Nag was unanimously re-elected as the President of INTUC Jalpaiguri District Branch again by the house and the conference was concluded by giving vote of thanks to the chairs and the house.
