20th Annual Conference of Garulia Municipality Staff and Workers Union was held at Garulia, 24 parganas (North) was held on 15th December, 2024 .

Mr. Md.Qamruzzaman Qamar, President, INTUC, West Bengal State Branch was the chief guest. Master Nizam, district Intuc president, Dibyendu Mitra, General Secretary, State Intuc, Swapan Sarkar, Secretary State Intuc, Surendra Singh, Congress leader, Ashok Roy, G.S., Intuc, North 24parganas have participated as Guests. Mr Ashok Choudhary, General Secretary of the Union conducted the Conference. A good number of Congress party leaders delivered the speech and assured their support.

Qamar Saheb vehemently criticized the anti labour policies of Central government and called upon the employees to go for agitation against both Central and State governments.
