23rd Biennial General Conference of AINLIEF (INTUC) affiliated Jatiya Jiban Bima Karmachari Samity (Purbanchal) held on 21.05.2022 at Subarna Banik Hall, Kolkata.

The Chief Guest of the conference was Md Qamruzzaman Qamar, President INTUC-WB & National Senior Secretary of INTUC. Conference inaugurated by Shri V. Narshiman, General Secretary of AINLIEF. Manas Banerjee, State Coordinator of INTUC-WB graced the occassion as Special Guest.

After paying homage to Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi and other respected personalities who passed away during this period Mr. Qamar, Shri Narshiman enlightened the lamp and started the Conference.

All honourable guests were felicitated by the Women Wing of JJBKS by glamorous way.

In their speech Mr. Qamar & Shri Narshiman vehemently protested against the Draconian Rulers both at the Centre & State for their Anti People policies like disinvestment of LIC, Railway, Airways, Banks, Dock & Port, Heavy Engineering Sections and other PSUs in extreme low price in respect of fair market value.

The Clarion Call given by Mr. Qamar in the session was to take an oath against the conspiracy of Fascist Government at Centre to play tricks on the Life of ordinary citizens of the country by gradually privatising LICI by selling it’s shares at an abnormally low price in respect of fair market value.

At the conference, Shri Sanjay Chakraborty was re-elected General Secretary of the Eastern Region for the next 2 years. Md
Qamruzzaman Qamar Saheb was elected as Chairman, Shri Shailendranath Chowdhury was elected as President, Shri Biswanath Tripathi was elected as Working President and Shri Subhas Chandra Mandal was elected as Treasurer.

The presence of the staffs at the conference especially the women were perticularly significant.
