As per the advice of M Qamruzzaman Qamar, the President of INTUC West Bengal Branch, an agitation program was organised by Sri Subhash Saha, the President, Paschim Bardhaman District INTUC and his team, against the Central and State Government’s anti-labour laws, anti- labour policies and anti-people decisions, discrimination in wages among the workers and contractual workers of various organisations, the safety and health, decision of Hawker’s eviction by the State Government and other various important issues of the working classs.

Sri Rajat Dikshit, Sr Secreatry, INTUC WB Branch, Sri Biplab Ranjan Nag, GS, MNREGA Union, Sri Paresh Nath Karmakar, Working President, HSWU (INTUC), DSP and various other prominent leaders and supporters and members of DMC Casual Labours Union were present in this historical movement.
