Bidi Workers Unions of West Bengal organised a meeting today at the State Office of INTUC-WB Br to organise the lakhs of deprived Bidi Workers of Bengal who are not getting their social security, minimum wages and other benefits assured by the State Government.
Md Qamruzzaman Qamar President INTUC-WB Br presided over the meeting.
Bidi unions from Murshidabad, Birbhum, Malda, South 24 Prgs, Dinajpur were participated in the meeting.
Other leaders of INTUC Dibyendu Mitra, Mrinal Kanti Bose, Sagarika Das, Manas Banerjee, Swapan Sarkar were presented themselves in this meeting.
Mr. Qamar asked the all unions to form the All Bengal Bidi Workers Federation and also asked to form or revive Bidi Unions in all districts of West Bengal to secure the lawful rights of Bidi Workers.
5th July 2022 all Bidi Unions are going to organise “Rajbhavan Chalo” programme which will be started from Rani Rashmoni Road, Esplanade, Kolkata at 12 noon.
All unions and Bidi Workers are requested to participate in this programme with sufficient flags, festoons of INTUC to make this event successful.
