Today, on 24.02.2024, LICI Contractor Workers Union organised a protest and deputation programme led by President of State INTUC & the said union Md Qamruzzaman Qamar at the office of M/s Singh Intelligence Security Pvt Ltd. (LIC Contractor) in 36, R.N.R.C Ghat Road, Shibpur, Howrah, against deprivation of employees employed at various sites of LIC of India, Eastern Zone.

Fearing to face employees’ fair demands, it seemed very ironic that Mr. Sujit Kumar Tewari, Regional Head of SISPL Company escaped away from his office.

Later, after the speeches of Union & INTUC Leadership, the union representatives led by Mr. Qamar met the Branch Manager of SISPL and submitted him the letter of demand where it was written that the long pending burning issues should be redressed within today or union will move to the appropriate and best suitable steps against all illegalities of the said vendor company and its Regional Head.

Large number of employees and their families along with the union leaders and leaders of Howrah District INTUC, Youth Congress and District Congress were there to make the programme successful.
