76th Year of Foundation of INTUC observed by INTUC West Bengal Branch at Rampurhat Co-operative Bank Auditorium in Birbhum District on 3rd May 2023 organised by INTUC Rampurhat Subdivision Branch.

State President of INTUC West Bengal Branch Md Qamruzzaman Qamar Saheb graced the occasion with his glorious presence and inaugurated the programme.

In his speech Mr Qamar elaborately described the reason of formation of INTUC. He said that at that time a part of AITUC was acted as the secret agent of British Government. Viewing this and as advised by Mahatma Gandhi the leaderships of Congress like Pandit Nehru, Acharya Kripalini, Moulana Azad decided to form INTUC under the Presidentship of Dr. Surendra Nath Banerjee to protect the social rights, to ensure the fair wages and fix 8 hours working time of the working classes of the Nation. In this way on this 3rd May of 1947 Congress formed INTUC and paid their respect to the entire working class and forced the British Government to implement several labour laws of the welfare of the said classes. Mr. Qamar vehemently criticised the Governments at Centre & State who are presently applied the draconian steps to dilute the labour laws into 4 labour codes which are totally anti poor, anti labour and anti people. They proved themselves more and more fascist than the British Ruler and Qamar Saheb gave the clarion call to all working classes to strengthen INTUC to fight unitedly against these fascist rulers to snatch away their legal rights of Socio-economic protection.

The jam-packed auditorium was welcomed the other prominent INTUC leaders of the state like Mr. Binod Sharma, B. K. Das, Pulak Ray, Asit Saha, Shaista Quadir, Surender Singh.

The programme was gorgeously arranged by INTUC President of Birbhum district Shri Mrinal Kanti Bose and President of INTUC Rampurhat Subdivision Satyabrata Bhattacharya.
