WORKERS’ CONVENTION OF BHARAT PETROLEUM EMPLOYEES UNION AT BIRATI, 16TH JULY 2023

The said Convention was presided over by Mr Alok Das.

Mr M. Qamruzzaman Qamar, President, INTUC, West Bengal Branch, participated as Guest-in-Chief. Sri Sanjib, Bablu Nundi, Goutam Roy and others have addressed the convention and called for unity and solidarity.

Mr Alok Das called upon the workers to fight against anti Labour policy of Central government.

Mr Qamar stressed that formation of new Regional union for contractors workers would be formed and it will be called Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd Contractors’ Employees Union having it’s office at 2 Haji Mohammad Mohsin Square, kolkata -700016.

Workers representatives from West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Tripura & Sikkim etc participated and shared their views.
Mr Qamar criticised the policy of Central government to disinvest the shares of BPCL. He also called upon the workers and employees to raise their voice against divisive forces and fascist dispensation at centre and organised themselves to give befitting reply to the management which is violating the statutory provisions. The meeting was terminated with a note to wakeup,unite,to raise voices and and struggle relentlessly.
