An important meeting was held at ITC Sonar Hotel to elect the Executive Members and Office bearers of ITC Sonar Hotel Permanent Workers’ Association for the year 2023–2024.

Md. Qamruzzaman Qamar & C.M.Jha have been elected unanimously as the President and General Secretary of the Association respectively.

Dignitaries and members present in the meeting were Sri Amar Roy (Secretary, INTUC, WB), Sri Pulak Paul, Mr Prusty, Debasis Saha, Mr Basant and others.

Mr. Qamar approved the Coordination Committee headed by Sri Abhijit Das. In his brief speech, Mr. Qamar reiterated that a Hotel falls in the category of a Service Sector industry where each and every employee should work diligently and peace and harmony must be maintained.
He also mentioned that monthly meeting should be organised once in a month at least and Special General Meetings should be organised once in every three months.
