Chittaranjan Railway Men’s Congress organised Workers Meeting with Central Government Employees And Workers Confederation (affiliated to INTUC WB Branch) today on 09.12.2023 at the Community Hall, Near Area 6, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works Township.
The demands / agenda of the meeting were :
1) Scrap NPS and restore OPS
2) Don’t allow CLW Land and Infrastructure to Private Companies
3) Setting up of 8th Pay Commission
4) Filling up of Vacant Posts of CGEWC
5) Maintenance of Allotted Accommodation of CGEWC should be improved.
M Qamruzzaman Qamar, the Chairman, CGEWC and the President, INTUC, WB Branch, Sri Binod Sharma, President, ERMC & AGS, NFIR, Sri Braja Madhab Ghosh, Secretary General, CGEWC delivered their valuable speeches in support of the agenda of today’s meeting.
Qamar Saheb alarmed everyone about the fascist dispensation at the centre and how the government is handing over all the national properties to few crony capitalists. He mentioned the need of an intensive and extremely extensive agitation against this government.

All the dignitaries were felicitated and greeted with a special felicitation to Sri Harjit Singh who has just retired from the services of SAIL, by Sri Indrajit Singh, the General Secretary, CRMC and vote of thanks was also given by him.
Later, a working committee meeting of CGEWC were held which was organised by Sri B M Ghosh. Other members also presented their valuable inputs.
The entire team of ERMC was absolutely fabulous and extremely passionate about organising such a peaceful and well organised meeting consisting of almost 200 people.
