A tripartite meeting was held today at the Office of the MIC, Labour, Government of West Bengal Sri Malay Ghatak to reopen the Gouripore Jute Mill which was under lock out notice for as long as 27 years and an final agreement was made to open the jute mill in presence of Senior INTUC Leader Master Nizam, the Vice President, INTUC West Bengal Branch and Sk Samad, the General Secretary, INTUC, West Bengal Branch and other Senior leaders from different unions.

It was a huge sigh of relief for the said jute mill workers and their families that the mill will be opened again.
