First Day of “Proactive Leadership Training Programme for Labour Organisations” at Kolkata organised by The Ambekar Institute of Labour Studies & Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in association with INTUC West Bengal Branch.

Md Qamruzzaman Qamar, President INTUC-WB Br. inaugurated the Training Session which is presided over by Mr. G. B. Gawde, Director AILS where the Guest In Chief was Mr. Mazumder of FES.

In his welcome speech Mr Qamar thanked AILS & FES for their humble effort to organise such a programme in Kolkata. He also asked the Trade Unionists of various formal & informal sectors from all over West Bengal who were present in this event to concentrate on the welfare of working classes in stead of political party culture. And this is the only way to generate Proactive Leadership for Labour Organisations.

Mr. G. B. Gawde also thanked Qamar Saheb and his State Branch for their splendid effort to make present the participants of various formal & informal sectors from all over West Bengal who are participating very first time, mostly Young & would be Next Generation Trade Union Leaders.

The session was discussed in relation with Effect of Labour Codes, Workers Rights & Global Framework, Future Economy, Trade Union Power Resource Approaches, Re-thinking in Trade Unionism, Green Economy, Trade Union in Transformation, New Norm Labour Market, Analysing Union Power etc.
