Yesterday, ITC Sonar Hotel Permanent Employees Association (Affiliated to INTUC) has organised a meeting & submitted a charter of demands for the period between 1st April, 2025 to 31st March, 2028 to the representatives of the management.
The meeting has been presided over by Janab Md Qamruzzaman Qamar, President of INTUC-West Bengal State Branch along with the august presence of Shri Dibyendu Mitra, General Secretary of INTUC-West Bengal State Branch & Shri Amar Roy, Senior Secretary of INTUC-West Bengal State Branch.
On behalf of the Management, Shri Debabrata Bhattacharya, Complex HR Head, Janab Rameez, HR manager ITC Sonar, were present & On behalf of the union, Shri Chandra Mohan Jha, General secretary, Shri Kalpataru Pusti, Assistant General Secretary, Shri Abhijit Das & other Executive Committee Members along with the employees of ITC Sonar were present in this meeting. Mr. Basant, the Treasurer of the union was actively involved in organising the meeting in the hotel premises.
During the meeting, Janab Md Qamruzzaman Qamar has elaborated the importance & legitimacy of the demands regarding the ad-hoc increment, annual appraisal, mediclaim coverage, FTE, retirement benefits, night drop facilities & other issues.
He also advised the employees to maintain congenial atmosphere in the workplace and bring all the unorganised workers to the fold of INTUC in order to protect their rights & maintain harmony.
