National Union of Waterfront Workers (INTUC) hold their 53rd Annual Conference at Youth Club, Haldia Dock Complex on 25th September, 2024.

Prof Pradip Bhattacharjee, Ex-MP and the President of the Union and Janab M Qamruzzaman Qamar, President, INTUC, WB were both present to grace the occasion and addressed the gathering among others. Sri Samaresh Roy, General Secretary and Debasis Chakraborty, Dy General Secretary of the Union (Haldia Unit) also addressed the conference and expressed their gratitude and thanked Prof Bhattacharjee and Qamar Saheb for extending their help and cooperation to strengthen the organisation.

Prof Bhattacharjee while addressing the delegates Session said that the interest and Welfare of the workers could only be protected by INTUC. He also expressed his happiness to achieve the Union 2nd Position in the HDC inspite of odd political situation and multi-union challenges as well.

Janab M Q Qamar in his brief speech remembered his long association with the Union and told that INTUC is constantly fighting against the exploitation of workers by which confidence has been arose among the workers in all spheres.
