Today, a rally and a meeting was organised at #Mathabhanga by the #Coochbehar District INTUC Branch. #MQamruzzamanQamar, President INTUC WB Branch was present with his team of State Office Bearers and prominent leaders like Smt #ShrabantiSingh, President, Women INTUC, WB, Sri #PramodPandey, President, INTUC Sevadal, WB, #ImranKhan, President, Central Kolkata INTUC & others. Sri #SankarMalakar, Ex-MLA and Vice-President, WBPCC graced the occasion too. Sri #BinoyTamang, member of GTA was among the dignitaries.

In his speech, Qamar Saheb welcomed Sri Binoy Tamang and vehemently condemned the apathetic attitude of both PM and CM. He also gave a clarion call to the gathering of 400–500 workers mainly drawn from informal sector to unite, awake and arise against the anti labour, anti farmers and anti people policies of central government and fascist dispensation at centre and also against the autocratic and communal forces raising their ugly heads.

Later, he appealed to the people of Coochbehar to prepare themselves to give befitting reply using their voting rights in forthcoming parliamentary election.

He reiterated that INTUC as frontal organisation has the responsibility to work tirelessly for the victory of Congress party and secular and democratic alliance (INDIA) as a whole and defeating the communal party and it’s hidden allies in order to save and protect the Constitution of India and to protect the Workers’ rights.
