The 2nd day of Plenary of INTUC started with deliberations from State INTUC Presidents and other Industry leaders.

INTUC WB President M Qamruzzaman Qamar, in his speech praised the workers and leaders of West Bengal who are relentlessly fighting with the current fascist dispensation for 11 years as they fought gallantly against the Leftist government for 34 long years. He said how the State INTUC team backed State Govt Employees Federation is fighting in DA issue and despite the Hon’ble Court’s verdict in favour of the employees, the State Govt is not allowing the employees to enjoy 34% DA hike.

In the second half, all the General Council Members re-elected Dr G Sanjeeva Reddy as the President of INTUC & Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh ji as General Secretary for next 3 years.

The INTUC WB President Sri Qamar immediately felicitated Dr Reddy and congratulated him for being re-elected. Later in the evening, Sri Qamar was also re-elected as Sr Secreatry of INTUC. The Working Committee Members finally constituted the new Working Committee under the leadership of Dr Reddy.

The two day long Plenary session finally ended in a happy note.
