The District Conference of the Purba Bardhaman District INTUC was held today at the newly inaugurated INTUC office in presence of the President, INTUC, West Bengal, M Qamruzzaman Qamar.

Mr. Qamar was the chief guest of the conference and the other distinguished dignitaries present with him were Smt Shrabanti Singh, Chairperson, INTUC, Women Workers Committee, WB, Azhar Mallik, President, WB State Youth Congress, Sk Samad, General Secretary, WB State INTUC, Sri Chandan Dey, Treasurer, State INTUC, Shayesta Qadir, Vice President, INTUC, Women Workers Committee, Sri Subhas Saha, District President, Paschim Bardhaman District INTUC, Sri Ashim Kumar Saha, Sr. Secretary, INTUC WB, Smt Arena Deb Singh, General Secretary, INTUC, Women Workers Committee, Sri Dilip Mukherjee, Chairman, Municipal Workers Union and so many other district INTUC leaders and members.

Najir Hussain, the President, Purba Bardhaman District INTUC arranged and conducted the Conference. A good number of Congress party leaders and PCC members were also present in the conference and assured their support. 

In his speech, Qamar Saheb vehemently criticized the anti – labour policies of Central and State government as well and called upon the members to strengthen the organisation for a long drawn battle to combat against the fascist dispensation at the centre.

After the conference, there was a huge rally which included all the guests, members and general public also.
