Voice of the Working Class People was present in the conference of North 24 Parganas District INTUC where the leaders directly opposed the anti-people, anti-labour and anti-national policies of the BJP-led Central Government & TMC led State Government.
The conference was held on 11th February 2023, at Dumdum Municipal Auditorium and the Conference was inaugurated by Mr. M. Q. Qamar, President, INTUC, WB by hoisting the flag.
Representatives of all industrial units of the district were present in the conference organized by the North 24 Parganas District I.N.T.U.C. Representatives of the union, especially of the Jute Industry, took an active part in these, along with the Paper Industry, Textile industries, Government employees, financial establishments, Municipal, Ordnance Factories, Steel Plants, besides representatives of unions from organized and unorganized sectors also participated.
North 24 Parganas District I.N.T.U.C. President Master Nizam presided over the conference.

The dignitaries like Sri Ashis Kundu, Vice President, INTUC WB, Sri Subhas Chandra Naha, VP, INTUC WB, Sri Dibyendu Mitra, GS, INTUC WB, Smt Sagarika Das, GS, INTUC WB, Sk Samad, GS, INTUC WB, Sri Chandan Dey, Treasurer, INTUC WB, Sri Shiba Prasad Chakroborty, Sr Secreatry, INTUC WB, Sri Mrinal Kanti Dhar, Secretary, INTUC WB, Sri Swapan Sarkar, Secretary, INTUC WB, Sri Ashok Roy, Member of Working Committee, INTUC WB, Golam Rabbani, Organising Secretary, INTUC WB, Sri Sunil Singh, Organising Secretary, INTUC WB were among the prominent leaders who were present in today’s convention.
The convention expressed concern over the plight of workers due to the anti-people, anti labour and anti-national policies of the BJP-ruled central government & TMC led State Government.
This Conference took note with grave concern that the Government is against the massive fix on the issue of privatization of public sectors including the financial sector including minimum wages, public social security, wages and other related facilities, an arrogantly ignoring the demands made jointly by all the Central Unions against the scale correction.
The conference had strongly opposed the abolition of 44 types of labour laws and trying to implementation of 4 labour codes. Strongly condemning the present pension scheme, the conference has demanded its reform expressing concern over the rising unemployment, the conference has demand opening of closed mills. The conference has strongly condemned the conspiracy by the government machinery spread communalism and create division in the society.
Government agencies are being openly used by the BJP ruled central government through some heinous laws against expression of opposition and individual liberty. Peace loving and Secular People are feeling insecure while living in an environment of terror. Working class has decided to raise its voice against it with all sincerity.
Master Nizam was unanimously re-elected as the President of INTUC North 24 Prgs by the house.
The conference was concluded by giving vote of thanks to the chairs and the house.
