We are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the tripartite conciliation meeting held today (03.10.2024) at Nizam Palace, Kolkata, under the presence and guidance of Sri Hitler Thoudam, Regional Labour Commissioner. The Wage Agreement Conciliation meeting included the Management of the Lube Blending Plant, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Gardenreach, Kolkata, representatives from the Indian Oil Blending Ltd Employees & Contractor Labour Union (INTUC) and the Contractor.

Representing the Union was M Qamruzzaman Qamar, President of INTUC West Bengal himself. After extensive discussions, it was agreed that Unskilled Workers of the organisation will now receive a monthly wage of Rs 28,511, while the Skilled Workers will earn Rs 34,045 per month, along with several additional amenities.

This agreement marks a significant victory for the INTUC West Bengal Branch, securing the highest wages for Contractor Workers across the state.

We owe this success to the unwavering leadership of M Qamruzzaman Qamar, the President, INTUC WB.
