Working Committee Meeting 2022 of INTUC West Bengal Branch held at the Bayside of Samudra Sundari Digha on 25.11.2022 at the conference hall of ABASARIKA, WB Labour Welfare Board Guest House under the Presidentship of Md Qamruzzaman Qamar.
The Office Bearers, Working Committee Members, Permanent Invitees of INTUC-WB Br. were present in the Meeting where the Guest In Chief was Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, National General Secretary of INTUC.
Mr Qamar welcomed Sanjay Kumar Singh ji and felicitated with Uttorio & Flower Bouquet.
The most important resolutions have been taken here in this meeting are formation of Organisational Sub-committee, Finance Sub-committee, Legal Sub-committee, Task Force Committee to rejuvenate the Industrial Federations, Districtwise Omnibus Union of Unorganised Workers, new union at IT sector in West Bengal.
Other than those, the resolutions have taken for local issues of Purba Medinipur & especially for Digha too….
1) All out protest & agitation against the handover of Haldia Port to Aadani Group with immediate effect.
2) Immediate action to bring the Beach Vendors, Transport, Fishermen & Hotel workers of Kanthi-Digha Bay area under the social security schemes & ensure the Beach n Street vendors by registering them under the Act. of Protection of Street Vendors implimented by Dr. Manmohan Singh ji led UPA-II Govt. by pressurising the Digha Sankarpur Development Authority.
3) Demand for Training Institute at Digha Bay area to educate the local youths in Hotel & Restaurant management who are presently deprived very badly by the DSDA & State Government in respect of employment at local Hotels & restaurants.
The house wholeheartedly supported the Resolutions and the said ones are passed unanimously.

Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh was very much impressed with the entire programme. He extended his heartfelt reliability to the leadership of State INTUC President Md Qamruzzaman Qamar Saheb. Sri Singh assured that National INTUC will extend their all out support to Qamar Saheb led INTUC-WB Br. in respect of these resolutions & will try their best from National level to resolve the problems of the said poor workers.
The meeting was concluded by giving vote of thanks to the house, Chairs and Kanthi-Digha Town Congress along with Nehru Market Shop owners Association for their all out assistance to make this Two Days long Programme meaningful, successful and prominent not only in Digha but in all over West Bengal.
