Mahatma Gandhi started the first agitation for the exploited workers of cloth mills in Ahmedabad. Picked up the spinning wheel. By cutting thread with his own hands, he became a devotee in the provision of food and clothing for the common people.

Today the demonic central government is indulging in a nefarious plot to render the common man destitute by stopping the production of its NTC mills.

That is why Mahatma Gandhi has arrived again. For the provision of food and clothing for the common people by cutting the wheel with their own hands.

Today (14.10.2022) Aarti Cotton Mills Employees Union (INTUC) held a day-long siege (Gherao) at the Kolkata office of National Textile Corporation Ltd by following Gandhiji’s movement.

Under the leadership of union president Manas Banerjee and in the presence of general secretary Sisir Biswas, a three-point question paper was presented to the CMD of NTCL through its Kolkata office.

1) When will the mill start full production?

2) When will 100% salary and old arrears be paid?

3) When will the two year arrears bonus be paid?

We are waiting for the answers to these questions. Otherwise, we will not hesitate to take action.

Prominent INTUC leaders present included Subhash Chandra Naha, Dibyendu Mitra, Md Imran Khan, Pramod Pandey, S. K. Banerjee, Sagarika Das, Brajamadhab Ghosh, Swapan Sarkar, Shitalendra Jha, Sudeshna Sarkar and other leaders.
